He has taught at Asbury Theological Seminary and Emory University and now serves as the D. Moody Smith Distinguished Professor of Old Testament and Professor of Law at Duke University. In addition to his academic work\, he is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and a frequent media commentator on biblical and religious topics.\n\n \n\nHis message\, "We Are God's Poem...and So Is the Bible!"\, promises to be both insightful and inspiring.\n\nAdding to the occasion\, we will begin chapel with a special musical offering from DWU's Treble Choir a big thank you to Dr. Desmond and the choir for sharing their gifts!\n\n \n\nDon't miss this opportunity to hear from Dr. Strawn and experience a meaningful time of learning and worship together.
