SUMMARY:Teen Book Club: "The Do-Over"
DESCRIPTION:The second Teen Book Club meeting will be for a discussion of The Do-Over by Lynn Painter\, the latest winner of the South Dakota Teen Choice Awards. A brief synopsis can be found below. In addition to the lending copies available in the Library and on Libby\, fifteen copies will be available (to keep) in late May: please call the library to RSVP and confirm availability at (605)995-8480\, or email Max Velasquez at max.velasquez@cityofmitchellsd.gov. We will also be voting on August's book to read.\n\n---\n\nEmilie Hornby's tidy life goes completely off the rails when her Valentine's Day goes completely south: she crashes her car into a classmate's\, catches her boyfriend cheating on her\, and her fellowship in Chicago gets taken away. After going to her grandmother's house for sympathy and ice cream\, she falls asleep on the couch and wakes up in her bed on Valentine's Day. The day replays again\, and again\, and again. How many times can a girl watch her life explode? When something good finally starts coming out of this\, what happens when the loop stops?
