PT After School Program Instructor

JOB SUMMARY

• Supervise youth in grades K-2 at the Mitchell Recreation Center between the hours of 3:15 - 5:30 pm Monday-Friday.  Work 3-5 days/week.  Starting wage $12.20 or DOE.

MAJOR DUTIES

• Organize and supervise activities for above said grades at Recreation Center.  Activities include gym activities, swimming at Indoor Aquatic Center, Playground supervisor, crafts, etc.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION

• Skilled in following instructions - Good communication skills, patience.
• Skilled in prioritizing work.

SUPERVISORY CONTORLS

• This position would be supervised by the After School program coordinator.

GUIDELINES

• Guidelines include supervisory instructions and city and department policies and procedures.  These guidelines are generally clear and specific, but may require some interpretation in application.

CONTACTS

• Contacts are typically with you in the program, coworkers, other city employees and general public.

• Prior work with youth.
