Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Full-Time Teacher’s Aide to support our teachers and students in creating a nurturing, engaging, and faith-centered learning environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with young children, supporting academic and spiritual growth, and contributing to our mission of Catholic education.
Key Responsibilities
- Faith Development: Model the teachings of the Catholic Church, support the integration of Catholic values into daily activities, and participate in prayer and reflection consistent with our traditions.
- Classroom Support: Assist teachers with delivering lessons, providing individual and small-group support, preparing materials, and maintaining a safe, organized classroom environment.
- Student Supervision: Support classroom management, supervise students during transitions, recess, and lunch, and reinforce positive behavior.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to promote student success and build strong, trusting relationships.
- School Involvement: Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and initiatives to foster a positive school culture.
- Active and practicing Catholic in good standing, committed to living in accordance with the doctrines and moral teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is a plus but not required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Basic proficiency in using technology to support classroom activities.
- A joyful, positive attitude and genuine love for working with young children.
- Willingness to engage in professional and spiritual growth opportunities, including Diocesan workshops and training.
- Ability to walk, stand, and move frequently throughout the classroom and school.
- Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 25 lbs.
- Fine motor skills for handling teaching materials and assisting with activities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with young children.
- Primarily daytime hours with occasional evening/weekend school events.
